How to Register on NVSP Portal 

Follow these easy steps if you want to register on the national voter service portal

  • Click on the option of “Login / Register“ on the home page.
  • A new page opens where you have to click on the link of ” Don’t have an account, Register as a New User”.
  • Enter your mobile number and solve the CAPTCHA code,
  • Then, click on the “Send OTP” button.
  • An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number which should be filled in at the designated location. 
  • Click on “I have the EPIC Number” or “I don’t have EPIC Number” as per the desire
  • After filling the information asked in the form, click on the Register button.

  • An online application form opens now on your screen. Here you have to enter your “Reference ID” and click on the Track Status button.
  • Ensure that the entered reference ID is correct.
  • In the end, the application status will appear on your computer or mobile screen. You can also get help from the responsible authority for any kind of assistance during the checking of application status.

Procedure to Name Check

If you want to check a name in the voter list / electoral roll through online. Follow the steps below.

  • Visit the official website. Home page opens.
  • Click on the section of “Search Your Name in the Electoral Roll“.
  • Search page opens now with the National Voter Service Portal details. Enter all the relevant details in the given space.
  • Solve the CAPTCHA code given in the picture and click on the “Search” button.
  • You will see the name list displayed on your screen.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must fulfill the following criteria if they want to apply online
  • Applicant must be an Indian.
  • Applicants must be of 18 years of age.
  • Should not be financially bankrupt and free from criminal charges.

Required Documents

Before applying for the NVSP. The applicant must have the following documents

  • Identity proof (PAN card, Aadhaar card, Passport or a Driving License)

Application Procedure

Follow these steps if you want to apply for the New Voter ID Card in 2020 

  • Visit the official website. Home page opens now
  • Click on the “Forms” section.
  • Click on “Apply online for registration of new voters” i.e. Form 6.
  • You are requested to complete this process through a computer or laptop.
  • Form-4 will open now. Enter all the asked information

  • Search and download EPIC-002 (Each state have different form format)
  • Enter all the information, thereby attaching necessary documents like FIR, Address and Identity Proof, etc. with the form.
  • Go to your nearest electoral office and submit the form.
  • A reference number will be given in relation to the application.
  • Your application will get moved to the next phase after verification.

You will receive duplicate Voter ID Card SMS when ready. Visit the electoral office to collect it.

  • Log in to the website using your user ID and password if you are a registered user. If not then do register first.
  • Select the “Deletion or Objection in Electoral Roll” option after log in.
  • The relevant form will open, enter the details, and click on the “Submit” button.

  • Select the “Correction of Entries” option.

  • Select “Migration to another AC” option
  • Form 8A will opens now where you have to enter all the details
