Kerala New Ration Card Types

Based on the economic status of the families residing in the state of Kerala. Three ration cards are provided. They are

  • Above Poverty Line (APL) - Families whose income is above Rs.100000 will get this APL Card (White Color) 
  • Below Poverty Line (BPL)  -  Families whose income is below Rs 24,200 will get this BPL Card (Pink Color) 
  • Antyodya Anna Yojana (AAY) - Landless laborers, marginal farmers, artisans, crafts men, widows, sick persons, illiterate, disabled adults with no means of subsistence fall under this category.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill these eligibility criteria in order to apply for Kerala Ration Card

  • Applicant must be a permanent residents of India 
  • Only legally permanent residents of Kerala are eligible to apply.
  • If you have any other ration card then your application will be rejected.

Through Akshaya Centers

You can apply for a new ration card through your nearest Akshaya Centers in the state of Kerala.

  • Go to the nearest Akshaya Centers.
  • Ask the application form from the concerned officer..
  • Fill all the information and attach the necessary documents to the form.
  • Verification will take place by the concerned officer.
  • Now pay the ration card application fee.

The ration card will be sent to your home after all the processes are completed.

  • Click “Ration Card Application Forms” on the home page.
  • A new page opens where you have to click on the link of “Application Form for Ration Card“.
  • Download the PDF copy that appears on your screen.
  • Enter all the information and attach the necessary documents to the form.
  • An activation link will be sent to your email, click on this link, and verify.
  • Login the website using a login ID and password. You will be given three options in case of a new application.
  • Issue of fresh ration card
  • Non-inclusion
  • Non-renewal certificate
  • Choose one option as per your wish. Upload all the required documents in PDF format.
  • After verifying all the information, you have entered, you take the print out of the application form for future reference.
  • Now submit this application form along with the necessary documents to your nearest TSO centre.
